About

Jennifer Moss is a visual artist who uses contemporary visual elements to interpret the natural environment. Inspired by monochromatic winters, summer days brimming with light, extreme weather events, and scientific discovery, Moss uses a range of mediums to explore figurative and abstract imagery and the elusive connections within ecosystems and consciousness.  Moss studied at the Pacific Northwest College of Art and is an instructional designer and adjunct faculty at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. She is a 2022 Rasmuson Foundation Individual Artist Award recipient, an artist and designer participant in the In a Time of Change project, and her work can be found in public spaces and private collections across the US. Moss has lived in various locations in Alaska for most of her life and currently resides in Fairbanks with her husband, dog and cat.
